Mr. Horne's Book of Secrets

Another Miniseries

Sorry for the short post this week, but it does contain some important news.

If you’ve been following the blog, then you know that I’ve been experimenting with a new social network called Steemit.

And I’ve had a moderate amount of success there.

Steemit is a platform that pays content creators, based on the popularity of their posts. Some posts have been lucky enough to net their creators more than $30000 in value. Others attain only a small amount of success.

However, the people on Steemit are paid by issuing shares of the company in the form of a new cryptocurrency called Steem. And with the explosion of content that has come to the platform, the price of Steem has taken a nosedive.

Steemit could be on the brink of destruction right now. It may very well collapse, though nothing is certain yet. If it does implode, I will have still netted a couple of Bitcoin off the platform, which I would not have earned otherwise. So no matter what happens, I do not regret my time there.

Saving What can be Saved

In the meantime, I have decided that I will be reposting my most successful entries from the Steemit platform here, at Mr. Horne’s Book of Secrets.

What were my most successful posts there, you ask? Well, I’d made a decent amount of money as a Netflix critic, evaluating shows and telling people what to watch and what to avoid.

The response on Steemit was overwhelmingly positive and generated a lot of discussion. I want to bring that same experience here.

What this Means

I don’t want to give the wrong idea, so I am going to make this clear right now: all the entries of the Netflixing miniseries will be coming to Mr. Horne’s Book of Secrets, but they will be coming as supplementary posts. They will not be replacing my regular blog entries, which will continue to land on Monday mornings.

Netflixing posts will start appearing on the blog this week, during the week. And they will not be coming on a fixed schedule. If the Steemit platform collapses entirely, then brand new entries in the miniseries will premiere at talanhorne.com. Otherwise, they will continue to make their debuts on Steemit. Keep an eye out for them.

I hope you will enjoy all I have to say on the subject and be inspired to add your own comments.

Thanks for reading.

    Netfilx commentaries?

Ooh, I hope you do Glitter Force. My daughter Alexis and I watch that together sometimes. And season two was recently released.

C’mon, Alan. They made a second season. If they made a second season then it has to be worth reviewing.

I will take it under consideration.
